From Nature to The Factory

Chocolate comes from processed cacao beans, harvested from cacao trees which live in tropical areas. Cacao trees are harvested twice
in a year. The pods, where the seeds or the beans can be harvested, take 5 - 6 months to develop. Once the pod turned to red or orange, they are ready to be harvested.

Making Chocolate Liquor

After roasting the beans, outer shell are removed, the process of which is called winnowing. The seperated shell are sold as animal feed, and inner nib is crushed and heated until it melts into cocoa butter and the ground into a thick paste called chocolate liquor.

Forming Chocolate

To make cocoa powder, 10- 25 % of cocoa butter is extracted from cocoa liquor using a large press machine. This produce cakey form, which is then ground and shifted using silk, nylon, or wire mesh.

Tiramisu Chocolate

Sesame Chocolate

The seeds are exceptionally rich in iron, magnesium, manganese, copper, and calcium for unhulled seeds, and contain vitamin B1 (thiamine) and vitamin E (tocopherol).
They contain lignans, including unique content of sesamin, which are phytoestrogens with antioxidant and anti-cancer properties. Among edible oils from six plants, sesame oil had the highest antioxidant content.
Sesame seeds also contain phytosterols associated with reduced levels of blood cholesterol.
